Canada's premiers have wrapped three days of meetings in Ontario's cottage country, where U.S. President Donald Trump's trade war took centre stage. The Council of the Federation was full of praise for Prime Minister Mark Carney, who met with the group on Tuesday and gave them an update on trade negotiations with the U.S. Alberta Premier Danielle Smith says the Americans are signalling they will not start renegotiating the Canada-U.S.-Mexico Agreement on trade until 2026, something she called disappointing.
