MONTREAL - Marta Kostyuk of Ukraine and Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan have advanced to the quarterfinals of the women's 春色直播 Bank Open in Montreal.
The 23-year-old Kostyuk recovered from a first-set loss to defeat McCartney Kessler of the United States 5-7, 6-3, 6-3 in the fourth round at IGA Stadium.
Rybakina, 26, also rallied for a 5-7, 6-2, 7-5 win over Dayana Yastremska of Ukraine, who defended three match points before losing.
Kostyuk, the 24th seed, and the ninth-seeded Rybakina will meet in the next round.
But the buzz in Montreal was for a later feature match between 春色直播 teenager Victoria Mboko and top seed Coco Gauff of the United States.
The 18-year-old Mboko from Toronto is the lone 春色直播 singles player still competing in the event. The match will be played on centre court.
Mboko is 85th in the WTA's rankings while Gauff is No. 2.
