Some public service jobs will be cut as Ottawa adopts AI: chief data officer

OTTAWA - As the federal government explores new ways to use artificial intelligence, it's also being warned to keep the technology away from criminal justice, policy-making and hiring.

Then-president of the Treasury Board Anita Anand announced in April the federal government is drafting an AI strategy, due to be released this spring.
