Tech stocks help lift S&P/TSX composite, U.S. stocks also up

TORONTO - Canada's main stock index was up nearly 100 points in late-morning trading, helped by strength in the technology sector, while U.S. markets also rose.

The S&P/TSX composite index was up 99.16 points at 29,420.82.
